On October 28, 2002 the the European Recovered Paper Council (ERPC) met in Brussels to discuss

  • the expected growth in recovered paper demand and
  • the challenges that will arise with increased collection and recycling in terms of quality and cost.

Automated sorting will be necessary: Dr. Krauthauf, past president of INGEDE, addressed problems arising from higher collection rates and from new printing technologies threatening the paper supply.
